Have something broken? First off, don't touch the edges together. Wrap each piece up separately and bring it to Art by Fire for an estimate.
We use a museum-grade glue to repair your item. The glue takes many days to set so plan to leave your piece of art with us for two or more weeks.
We are good at getting edges to match up but we can't replace glass that is gone. For transparent glass, you will be able to see a difference in the light refraction where the pieces are joined together. On all glass there will always be some sign it was repaired.
Also, our glue is not heat resistant so it is not suitable for repairing any item that will encounter extreme temperatures.
And sometimes, the best fix is to alter the piece and remove the broken portion.
All that being said, we've helped many people be able to continue to enjoy their treasured art for years to come! Come talk to us and we'll be happy to help you too!
Cremation Ash Art
We make glass art to treasure containing ashes from your loved one.
We have created beautiful mementos in various shapes from paperweights to vases to pendants.
We prefer to make your ash art while you watch and many people find comfort in watching as well.
